1) You will be using generic ink, which is an average consistency ink that can be used on all printers. This will give poor quality print-outs.
2) Unless you have carried out the process several times, you will undoubtedly make a lot of mess and ink is hard to get out of carpets and clothes.
3) When filling a color ink cartridge, if any one color seeps into the chamber of another color (Cyan, Magenta or Yellow), it will give you some very strange results when printing.
4) Some cartridges have to have their circuits reset and require technical knowledge to do so.
